The preliminary statistics from VPA (Vietnam Pepper Association) for November 2023 indicate that Vietnam exported 20,273 tons of various types of black pepper, with 17,728 tons of black pepper and 2,545 tons of white pepper. The total export turnover reached 78.1 million USD, with black pepper accounting for 65.2 million USD and white pepper 12.9 million USD. Compared to the previous month, there was a 5.6% increase in export volume and a 7.4% increase in turnover. The average export price for black pepper in November was 3,732 USD per ton, and for white pepper, it was 5,077 USD per ton.

In November 2023, Vietnam also imported 1,988 tons of pepper, comprising 1,870 tons of black pepper and 118 tons of white pepper. The total import turnover reached 7.1 million USD, with a 1.4% increase compared to October. Brazil was the main supplier of pepper to Vietnam, providing 1,350 tons, accounting for 67.9% of the total and experiencing a 7.4% decrease compared to the previous month.
